Item Strategic Factors Adopted by Toyota Motor Dealers to Gaining Competitive Advantage in Mombasa County, Kenya(KeMU, 2022) Tarmohamed, Shehreyaar ShirazThe explored strategic considerations that Toyota Motor Dealers implemented in Kenya to acquire a competitive advantage. The purpose of this study was to determine strategic factors adopted by Toyota Motor Dealers to gaining competitive advantage in Kenya. In the course of the research, both RBV theory and Schumpeter's Innovation Theory were utilized. A descriptive survey was the method of research that was used for this study's research design. The participants in this study were ten reputable car dealerships located in the central business district of Mombasa, each of which had ninety sales representatives. As part of the study, interviews were conducted with forty-five sales representatives. The method of sampling utilized in the study was stratified random sampling. The most important instrument for data collection in this study was the questionnaire. The study was based on secondary data that was found on Toyota's website and in its newsletters, as well as on the websites and newsletters of car dealers. SPSS version 23 was used to create and analyze the data, which included descriptive statistics including frequencies, means, and standard deviations. The findings were presented in a variety of formats, including tables, bar graphs, and pie graphs, as well as frequency and percentage breakdowns. The respondents indicated their approval, and the researcher reached a consensus with them regarding the manner in which the data would be utilized as well as the publication and dissemination of the results. According to the findings of the study, there is a positive and significant link between Toyota Motor Dealer strategic aspects (including Product differentiation, Risk taking, Proactiveness, and Innovativeness) and the achievement of competitive advantage in Kenya. Findings from the study suggest that Toyota's innovative nature may be traced back to the company's desire to participate in and promote the development of novel concepts and inventive methods, which could lead to the creation of new market possibilities. Toyota's innovativeness can be attributed in large part to its openness to try new things. Toyota may be able to get a competitive advantage in the market if it pursues a product differentiation strategy that includes inventing and producing vehicles of superior quality and design. As a consequence of this, Toyota has been successful in developing a powerful brand image that, when viewed by prospective clients, evokes mental pictures of durable automobiles that are of a very high level of quality. The business is able to maintain its position as the industry front-runner thanks to the creation of a varied lineup of automobiles targeted toward a wide variety of pricing points and market nichesItem Influence of Strategic Factors on Service Delivery in Mombasa County Government(KeMU, 2022) Mkala, MtendeOne of the critical objectives of governments across the globe is to provide timely and quality service that is efficiently accessible to all citizens to promote cultural, social and economic wellbeing. This study sought to investigate the influence of strategic factors on service delivery in Mombasa County government. The strategic factors under review were staff training and development, revenue mobilization, procurement management and information communication technology (ICT). The researcher applied various theories for in-depth understanding of the of the study variables and also to aid in analyzing and explaining the research objectives. A descriptive research design was adopted study and questionnaires were used in data collection. The researcher collected data from all sectors in the county government of Mombasa by physical administration of questionnaires to respondents and collected the thereafter for analysis. A total of 60 respondents were administered with questionnaires. The data collected was analyzed using the statistical package for social science tool (SPSS) 24.0 version through techniques such as frequencies, correlation and regression and interpreted. The findings demonstrated that the study variables were influencers of service delivery. However there was an overwhelming indication that Training and Development was the only variable that indicated significant influence on service delivery. The the other factors i.e. Procurement management, Revenue Management and ICT indicate some influence on service delivery but were statistically insignificant. This study recommends more emphasis should be put on staff training in all service delivery sectors as a strategy to enhance service deliveryItem Strategic Factors Influencing Growth of Islamic Banking Uptake in Kenya(KeMU, 2022-10) Adan, Anis MohamedIslamic banking has been cultivated in Kenya for more than decade, and even though conventional banks still control the country's financial economy, that the assurance of Islamic banking has not yet been fully realized. Globally, the acceptance and importance of Islamic banking is predicted to grow by fifteen to twenty percent yearly; whereas this is not the case in Kenya at this time. More so, notwithstanding the dependence on Islamic banking as a potential alternative financing channel to help expand the unbanked consumer, there is minimal empirical evidence of Islamic banking delivery penetration. The study's main goal was to identify the strategic factors influencing Kenya's adoption of Islamic banking and specifically, establish the effect of product awareness, consumer protection, legal regulatory requirements risk perception on growth of Islamic banking uptake in Kenya. Tie underpinning theories were; by Location Innovation Theory, Finance Theory, Circumvention Innovation Theory, and Theory of Perceived Risk. The present study used descriptive research design. The target population was the 56-marketing manager, sales manager, customer relation manager, chief operations manager, business development manager, product development manager and research development manager from the headquarters of each of 8 banks that was offering Islamic bank products in Kenya. ii. Because the population was feasible and narrow, a non-probability method called for a census in which all 56 members of the target population took part as respondents was employed. Structured questionnaires that were given to respondents using a drop-and-pick method were used to gather the data. That tool was scrutinized for reliability using the Cronbach alpha test and for validity using content validity. The data received was quantitatively analyzed to generate descriptive statistics, and the investigation performed inferential analysis for the predictive model. Using Analysis of Variance, the study assessed the model's goodness of fit. The research evaluated the data to satisfy basic Classical Linear Regression Model Assumptions in order to maintain the regression model's authenticity and sturdiness. Based on the findings, this research concludes that at 0.05 level of significance, while product awareness has positive moderate significant effect, consumer protection has significantly low positive significant effect, legal regulatory requirements has significantly moderate positive significant effect and there is a significantly moderate positive effect of risk perception on the growth of Islamic banking uptake in Kenya. The study recommends that Kenya banks offering Islamic banking should, build strong customer loyally though product awareness campaigns, ensure effective and total consumer protection reviewing the Government regulation on Islamic banking, review their legal regulatory requirements, and allaying the risk perception Islamic banking in Kenya through effective strategic marketing, customer service quality, corporate governance and developing innovative product portfolio.
