This study was carried out to investigate factors influencing strategic plan implementation in Kenya education Sector. In particular the research focused on the CEMASTEA Strategic plan implementation in Nyeri South Secondary Schools. The objective of the study is to establish the factors that influence the implementation of CEMASTEA Strategic Plan in Secondary Schools, to assess the ownership of the strategic plan, to determine the extent to which motivation of science teachers & maths teachers affect the implementation, to find out the effect of communication of the plan to the implantation, to determine the effect of availability of resources on implementation, to find the effects of schools management on implementation. The study adapted the descriptive surve carried out in 24 Secondary Schools. A population of 590 respondents was targeted with a sample of 125 respondents. Cluster random sampling was used to identify the schools. Hypothesis was tested by use of inferential statistics using the SPSS programme. Data is presented in the form of pie charts, graph and tables. Pre - testing on a sample of 10 schools outside the survey area was carried out to enhance validity and reliability. In chapter four data is presented and analysed. The presentation was done using statistical summaries, graphical representation as well as interpretation of qualitative statement. Eventually a summary of major findings is given from which plausible conclusions are deduced. Finally, recommendations from the study are given as well as suggestions for further research are given
